How to Make ChatGPT Read Responses Aloud Automatically

← Back to ChatGPT Conversation Booster

Sometimes you want to type to ChatGPT. You just do not particularly want to read every response that comes back.

Maybe you are doing some passive research, comparing ideas or working through a topic while doing something else. You still want the normal text based ChatGPT experience, but it would be nice if the answer simply started playing when it was ready.

That is the idea behind Auto Read Aloud in ChatGPT Conversation Booster.

Can ChatGPT automatically read every response aloud?

ChatGPT can read responses aloud, but normally you have to trigger it yourself. That is fine occasionally.

It gets a little silly when your workflow becomes: ask a question, wait, click Read Aloud, listen, ask another question, wait, click Read Aloud again.

Auto Read Aloud removes that part. Turn it on and ChatGPT Conversation Booster automatically starts reading completed responses aloud during your current browsing session.

You keep typing your questions as normal. ChatGPT keeps answering as normal. You just get to listen instead of stare at another wall of text.

Turn on Auto Read Aloud from the floating Conversation Booster toolbar.

Why not just use ChatGPT Voice?

Voice conversations are great when you actually want a conversation. But that is not always how we use ChatGPT.

For research and more deliberate work, many people prefer typing because it is easier to structure a precise question, include technical details, paste information and review exactly what was asked and answered.

Sometimes you want the benefits of text ChatGPT without committing your eyeballs to every response. That is where automatic read aloud fits nicely.

Type the detailed prompt. Let ChatGPT generate the normal written response. Then listen to it.

Auto Read Aloud is available in the toolbar whether you keep it along the side or across the bottom.

Useful for passive ChatGPT research

Auto Read Aloud works particularly well when the answer is useful to hear but does not require your full visual attention. For example:

It is not trying to turn ChatGPT into an audiobook player or replace Voice Mode. It just removes one click from something we found ourselves doing repeatedly.

Type when you want. Listen when you want.

Auto Read Aloud is deliberately simple. Turn it on from ChatGPT Conversation Booster and new completed responses are read aloud automatically for the current session. Turn it off when you want to go back to reading in peace.

No new workflow. No need to switch the way you interact with ChatGPT.

Sometimes you want to talk to AI. Sometimes you want to read AI. And sometimes you want to type a question, lean back and let the computer do the talking.

Give your eyes a break

Let completed responses play automatically

Conversation Booster reads new ChatGPT responses aloud while you keep the precise text based workflow you already use.

It also helps you collapse old messages, bookmark useful answers and reuse instructions with Chat Charms.
