Caves of Wonders

The cheekiest bookmark manager for people who want their corner of the web to feel like their own.

Why we made it

Your bookmarks deserve better than a forgotten drawer

Caves of Wonders began with a familiar problem. Existing bookmark extensions could help with local organization, but none of them felt complete. Some had too little room for personalization. Others did not offer the privacy features we wanted, including places for content that should stay protected. Plenty of modern options existed, but none felt right to live with every day.

So we built the bookmark manager we wanted to use. It started as a focused Chrome extension with the features we needed. Then, very gradually and quite happily, it became a larger and more ambitious project. Some of it is gloriously over engineered. Not every feature is strictly necessary. That is partly the point. Caves of Wonders is built around the idea that software should do its job well and feel good enough for people to make it their own.

See it in action

What it helps with

Organize bookmarks in a way that feels like your own corner of the web

Personalize the experience instead of settling for a generic bookmark bar

Keep private content protected while making useful links easier to rediscover

Use a bookmark manager made to feel satisfying, not merely functional

A place with some character

Your bookmarks should feel like your own corner of the web

Most bookmark managers are happy to give you a list. Caves of Wonders is for the people who want a little more ownership over the place where their useful links live.

It is deliberately more personal than a browser bar and more playful than it needs to be. The job is still simple: keep your bookmarks organized and easy to return to. The difference is that the space around them can feel like it belongs to you.

Meet Captain Moosalot

He cares far more than a bookmark manager needs to

Captain Moosalot is the character at the heart of Caves of Wonders. He has strong opinions, an enormous work ethic and a tendency to treat every small detail as a mission of great importance. He is a little foolish, intensely committed and perfectly suited to a bookmark manager that takes its own corner of the web seriously.

He is more than a logo. He represents the spirit of the product: software can be useful, personal and a bit excessive in the best possible way. If a small everyday tool can make someone feel more at home in their browser, it is worth caring about.
